Our graduate programmes are designed to instil knowledge and foster growth, ensuring that our participants are well-prepared for success in their respective fields. Boxfusion has developed five graduate programmes, and one health learnership across various departments within the organization.

These programmes are designed to empower our graduates through tailored content specific to their fields, alongside training in soft skills and business acumen. At Boxfusion, we believe in fostering holistic development, which is why we also celebrate milestones such as graduations and host graduate socials to build a strong sense of community and support.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for our graduate programmes are designed to ensure alignment with Boxfusion’s talent development objectives and regulatory frameworks, such as BBBEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) compliance and Skills Development. By establishing clear criteria, we promote a fair and transparent selection process while supporting our commitment to fostering diverse talent. These criteria also enable accurate reporting on graduate employment initiatives as part of our BBBEE scorecard, reflecting our contribution to South Africa’s economic transformation goals.

1. Age Requirement: Applicants must be between 18 and 34 years old at the time of application.

2. Academic Qualification: Candidates should be in their final year of study or possess the relevant completed qualification.
3. Relocation: Selected applicants must be willing to relocate to Centurion, where the programme is based.
4. IT-Related Programmes: 
  • Applicants must be entering their first IT-related job.
  • Prior work experience in IT disqualifies candidates for these specific programmes.
5. International Applications: Applications from international students are welcomed. However, preference will be given to South African citizens.

Software Engineering Graduate Programme

Software Engineering Graduate Programme
Intake: 10-15 graduates annually
Start

Start Date: 1st February

Our Software Engineering Programme begins annually on the 1st of February. Between month one to four graduates have extensive training on the Boxfusion tech stack, exposure and theoretical knowledge on our various departments such as mobile development, infrastructure and devops, and data and AI. During this time, they also cover topics such as coding standards and best practice along with appropriate documentation. Graduates are required to learn our internal, low code, .Net Framework, Shesha. Throughout these four months they will be tested and required to develop individual solutions which are evaluated by our senior developers. Due to our Microsoft Partner status, we encourage the software engineering graduates to complete two Microsoft Certifications during their programme.

Software Testing Graduate Programme

At Boxfusion, we treat testing and quality assurance as a career path of its own. As such we have developed the Testing Graduate Programme. During the first 6 weeks the graduates learn about various testing principles, tools, techniques, methodologies and the Software Development Lifecycle and the importance of their role in the SDLC. Throughout the first 6 weeks they will be regularly assessed based on the content shared with them.

System Support Analyst Graduate Programme

Our System Support Graduate Programme is designed to equip graduates with essential skills for technical support roles. Participants will provide technical assistance, diagnose and resolve system issues, manage support tickets, and perform system monitoring and maintenance. They will also create user documentation, assist in hardware and software provisioning, collaborate with team members and vendors, and stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices.

Human Resources Graduate Programme

The HR Programme takes candidates through the entire employee lifecycle, emphasizing the benefits of efficient talent management. Health Information Manager Learnership

The Health Information Manager Learnership is tailored to South Africa’s healthcare sector. Participants will manage and analyze health data, maintain electronic health records (EHR), and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. The programme focuses on data quality assurance, health data reporting and analytics, and system implementation. Graduates will acquire industry-relevant skills and practical experience, which enables them to complete the relevant qualification.

Business Analyst Graduate Programme

The Business Analyst Graduate Programme is a structured, immersive journey designed to build well-rounded, highly skilled professionals. Over the first 9 months, graduates participate in departmental rotations, gaining exposure to key areas such as the Product Team, Bespoke Solutions, and the Delivery Team.

During each rotation, participants will complete a series of tasks and projects, allowing them to develop practical experience and an in-depth understanding of each department’s role in the business. Graduates are also required to complete a Microsoft Certification, further enhancing their technical and analytical capabilities.

This programme equips graduates with the foundational skills and hands-on experience needed to excel as a Business Analyst in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

As part of the graduate programme, all participants will undergo essential training in business acumen and soft skills during their first week. This training is designed to equip graduates with the foundational skills necessary for excelling in their first professional role and thriving in a corporate environment.

The courses include technical proficiency in tools like Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, Excel, Lucid Chart and other role-specific tools, alongside professional development topics such as:

Boxfusion Socials:

  • Boxfusion Friday: On the last Friday of every month, the entire Boxfusion team comes together for a fun and engaging team-building session. It’s a great opportunity to unwind, connect with colleagues, and enjoy some refreshments while strengthening our team spirit.
  • Boxfusion Quarterly Days: Boxfusion Quarterly Days provide business updates from our executives, giving everyone insight into our company’s progress and future direction. These days are also about building stronger team connections through engaging team-building activities, followed by refreshments. It’s a full day away from the laptop, and sometimes we even take it offsite for a fresh change of scenery.

Upon successful completion of the programme and based on performance, graduates may receive either a permanent or fixed-term contract. Permanent employees are eligible for benefits such as medical aid and a retirement annuity. Additionally, there are opportunities for continuous learning and becoming mentors for future graduates.

How long do the graduate programmes last?

Each programme runs for 12 months, with rotations across departments to ensure comprehensive exposure and learning.

Are there any certifications included in the programme?

Yes, some programmes include completing industry-recognized certifications, such as Microsoft, ISTQB, IIBA and AWS certifications. These certifications enhance your technical skills and professional qualifications.

Can I apply for more than one programme?

You may apply for multiple programmes if you meet the eligibility criteria for each. However, we recommend focusing on the programme most aligned with your career goals and qualifications.
