The Junior Product Analyst is to develop analysis capability while supporting product delivery and client-facing activities.

Based: Midrand
Salary: Market related
Working arrangement: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in our Midrand office and 2 days remote.
Commencement date: 01 July 2026


Overview:
The Junior Product Analyst is to develop analysis capability while supporting product delivery and client-facing activities. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to build experience in requirements documentation, solution design, and product discovery within a fast-paced delivery environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Document product and client requirements
  • Write and maintain user stories
  • Support backlog refinement and grooming
  • Assist with product discovery and research activities
  • Conduct market and competitor research
  • Compile industry and market insights reports
  • Support preparation for customer research sessions
  • Assist in requirements workshops and solution documentation
  • Support testing and validation activities

Qualifications & Experience:


Minimum Requirements:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Foundational understanding of Agile delivery principles
  • Basic problem-solving and analytical thinking ability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Exposure to documentation or process modelling tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    o Information Systems
    o Computer Science
    o Business Administration
    o BCom (Informatics / Business Analytics preferred)
  • Preferred / Advantageous:
  • Exposure to tools such as:
    o Airtable
    o Balsamiq
    o Lucidchart
    o Azure DevOps
    o Microsoft Teams
  • Exposure to process modelling and documentation practices
  • Experience supporting product or system implementations

Core Skills

  • Quality and completeness of user stories and requirements documentation
  • Contribution to backlog refinement and readiness
  • Ability to support discovery and testing activities
  • Accuracy of research and insights produced


Technical Skills

  • Basic Agile tools and backlog management
  • Documentation and process mapping tools
